Mount Diablo Music Education Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) public charity established in 2009. We are an independent Foundation that works closely with but is separate from the Mount Diablo Unified School District. MDMEF is administered by an all-volunteer board representing all 5 high schools in the District and their feeder schools.

Our Mission: MDMEF is dedicated to ensuring all students in the Mount Diablo Unified School District have equal access to quality Music Education.

EVENTS

Every year MDMEF puts together a Music Festival showing off our local school music education that we support through grants to their programs.  We also support participation in other events that help fund our foundation and grants.

Want to join me in supporting a good cause? This GivingTuesday I’m raising money for Mount Diablo Music Education Foundation and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support. This GIVING TUESDAY, please consider a DONATION to the Mount Diablo Music Education Foundation.

For the past three years, I, Nicholas De La Riva, have worked as a music educator for the Mount Diablo School District. The reason why I teach music is to create impactful memories for students and their community. My own greatest memories from middle school and high school came from the music room, rehearsing my instrument, and performing with my friends. That gift of music is something that can never be lost or taken away. This GIVING TUESDAY, please consider a DONATION to the Mount Diablo Music Education Foundation.

For me, Michael White, music was always at the center of my most memorable moments in school. Through music, I was able to find a school community of friends, teachers, and mentors that challenged me every day to be the best student and artist I could be. I owe my college acceptances, professional training, and even the career I have today all to the music education that was available to me growing up. For this GIVING TUESDAY, please consider DONATING to the Mount Diablo Music Education Foundation (MDMEF); an organization making sure students today receive that same level of music education that was there for me.
